You can give individual members administrative privileges over part or all of your community website. This is useful for allowing other members of your community to help manage the website.
Note: You cannot grant administrative privileges to joint members without email addresses.
How to add administrative privileges
To give another member administrative privileges, visit the "Members" section in the Admin Portal and follow the steps listed below:
In the "Member view" find the member you'd like to give admin privileges.
Under the "Privileges" column, click on the white "None" button.
This will take you to a page where you'll select each privilege you'd like to give that member.
Once you've finished, click "Save." Those privileges will then be assigned to that member's profile.
Note: Certain sections of the Admin Portal are only available to those granted full administrative privileges. That includes "Visitor tracking," "Activity log," and "Settings."
How to remove administrative privileges
To remove another member's administrative privileges, visit the "Members" section in the Admin Portal and follow the steps listed below:
In the "Member view," find the member you'd like to remove admin privileges.
Under the "Privileges" column, click the green button that displays the number of privileges currently granted (e.g., Full, 5/8).
This will take you to a page where you'll select each privilege you'd like to remove from that member.
Once you've finished, click "Save." Those privileges will then be removed from that member's profile.
Note: If you have the "members" admin privilege on your profile, you can only remove the privileges that you have applied to it.
How to tell if a member has admin privileges
When a member has administrative privileges, you will see a green button display underneath the "Privileges" column next to their name that lists how many privileges out of 8 they have or if they're a full administrator.
