Email messages can be uploaded to or downloaded from your community-branded email account in the webmail interface via an EML file. This is useful if you need to transfer messages across email accounts or import messages from an external email client!

Export an individual email

To download a single email message, log into the email account at webmail.hoa.email and follow the steps outlined below.

  1. First, click on the message you'd like to download.

  2. Next, in the menu at the top of the message, select the three vertical dots to reveal a drop-down menu.

  3. Then, select "More" to reveal further options.

  4. Lastly, click "Download" to save this message as an EML file to your computer.

Export multiple emails

To download multiple email messages at once, log into the email account at webmail.hoa.email and follow the steps outlined below.

  1. First, highlight the messages you'd like to download.

  2. Next, right-click on the message, and in the drop-down menu select the “More” option.

  3. Then, in the side menu that appears, click "Download.” The messages will then download as a compressed folder of EML files to your device.

Note: If you have a large volume of emails in the folder you're viewing, you'll need to select a smaller group of them before you can download them into an EML file.

Import emails

To upload email messages to your email account, log into the webmail interface and follow the instructions provided below.

  1. First, right-click on the "Inbox" folder, and select "Import mail" from the drop-down menu.

  2. In the pop-up window, click on the arrow icon to browse your computer and select an EML file. You can also drag and drop the file from your device into the upload window.

  3. Lastly, click the "Import" button.
