We provide a built-in and easy-to-use visitor tracking feature for community websites on the deluxe plan, found in the "Visitor tracking" section of the Admin Portal.
However, if you'd like a more detailed look into visitor tracking metrics, Google Analytics is a great free service to use. While we recommend that you consult their website for support documentation for more details, we can explain how to begin tracking your community website's visitors.
How-to
To start, you’ll need to acquire the measurement ID (e.g., G-XXXXXXXX) or tracking ID (e.g., UA-1234567-1) if you’re using Google Analytics 3 or older. For more information about where to find this, see Google's article.
Once you have this ID, visit the "Google Analytics" tab in the "Settings" section in the Admin Portal. Here, enter the ID into the field labeled "Google Analytics measurement/tracking ID. Lastly, click the "Save" button.
After you save this change, it can take up to 24 hours for Google to begin processing visitors to your website.
