As part of our ongoing initiative to modernize our front ends, we’re now turning our focus to the final piece: community websites. This effort involves rebuilding the front ends using our next gen technologies. Once completed, this will enable our team to deliver new features and enhancements even more quickly and efficiently!

What to expect

The beta version of the community websites, although powered by entirely new technologies, will look and behave very similarly on the surface to the current version. This is by design to maintain compatibility with the current version! However, the beta version lays the groundwork for many exciting updates once the project is fully released. Plus, the beta version already offers performance improvements and a myriad of small user experience improvements—like those found with the rest of our modernized front ends.

We’re steadily building the modernized version of the community websites and releasing the functionality for previewing in the beta version as we go—just like we’ve done with past beta experiences. We’ve already released several of the most commonly used page types, and we’ll continue rolling out support for additional page types over time until every part of the community website has been rebuilt on the new technologies. At the conclusion, after we’ve collected feedback and performed extensive testing, the version powered by our next gen technologies will replace the version powered by our original technologies.

Accessing the beta version

To access the beta version of your community’s website, add /beta after your community’s domain or website address (e.g., if your community’s domain is examplehoa.com, then you can visit examplehoa.com/beta to preview the beta version).

When previewing the beta version, you’ll see a yellow banner across the top of the screen to let you know you’re viewing the beta version:

If you come across a page type that hasn’t been released yet, you’ll see a message like the one below:

These messages are just temporary as page types become available in the beta version as development steadily progresses.

Why a beta version?

Since this project is still underway, we’ve made the beta version available to give customers an early preview while we continue development. This approach offers a few key benefits:

  • Follow along with our progress

  • Share valuable feedback directly with our team

  • Help identify bugs or usability concerns

Since this is a beta, you may encounter occasional bugs. If you have feedback or notice any issues, please contact our customer success team!
